Dietary Restrictions
Our group trip format works best for travelers with very simple dietary restrictions, if any. We work with multiple chefs, kitchens, and non-traditional dining settings in each destination, which makes special accommodations difficult and, in some cases, impossible. Ingredients, preparation methods, and awareness of dietary restrictions vary widely by country, and preserving the cultural integrity of the food is a priority.
After booking, you’ll complete a Traveler Form where you can list any essential dietary restrictions. Please only include what is critical to your health and wellbeing. Chefs will plan accordingly, and we ask that you manage personal preferences and supplemental meals independently as needed.
Preferences vs. Allergies
We cannot accommodate dietary preferences. If you have a severe allergy, our partners will do their best to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination. Travelers are responsible for carrying any necessary medications, including EpiPens, and for managing their own preferences outside of included meals.
Celiac Disease
We are not able to fully accommodate Celiac disease on most trips due to cross-contamination risks. Some destinations can offer gluten-free options, but guarantees are not possible. Our Argentina and Mexico City trips tend to be the most Celiac-friendly due to long-standing partnerships and local familiarity with strict dietary needs. Travelers with Celiac disease are welcome on any trip with the understanding that they will self-manage their restrictions.
